El Molín de Petra is located 2 kilometers from Villaviciosa. Villaviciosa
is a beautiful and peaceful city, which takes pride in being the apple capital
of Spain. It has many historical roman and pre-roman monuments. The church of
San Juan de Amandi, one of the pre-roman treasures of Asturias, is just one
kilometer away from El Molín de Petra.

Thanks to our beautiful mountains, valleys, rivers, and our bay, Villaviciosa
became a Natural Preservation site in the nineties. Villaviciosa is a natural
paradise. Rodiles and Meron are nearby beaches. In fisherman's villages such
as Tazones or El Puntal, you can enjoy typical dishes rich in fish and shellfish,
fabada soup and the delicious rice dessert “arroz con leche”.

Just 10 minutes away is the attractive Museo Jurasico
de Asturias (Jurassic Museum of Asturias ) (MUJA) , a
mandatory stop for anyone curious about the prehistoric
remains that have been on our coasts for thousands of
years.
The world of the cider provides other tourist options.
These include the Museum of Cider (Museo de la Sidra)
in Nava and the traditional and modern lagares that open
their doors to the visitors of Villaviciosa. These present
differing views of the cultural and gastronomic world
that has spread beyond our borders. Other tourist attractions
include El Convento de Valdedios- a preromanic jewel
and the Museum of Museums in Cabranes.
We are located 28 kilometers from Gijon and 43 kilometers
from Oviedo.
